The Challenge
The parenting apps of today only offer generic information that helps with day-to-day issues but there aren’t many parenting apps out there that have in-depth information about more serious issues. Most parents can’t afford immediate healthcare and need a quick fix for problems. Carter learned from his parenting experiences that at times children require immediate attention and wanted an app that offered more than current apps.
He made it very clear that he wanted the TekInvent team to create a parenting mobile app that was easy to use and understand, highly supportive for all kinds of parents, and so organized that all the info was placed properly. Once we had the brief from Carter, we studied the existing parenting mobile apps of the competitors to understand what they lacked. The first thing we noticed was the apps had too much information that was overwhelming the parents. Now, our job was super clear – we were going to create a parenting mobile app that focused on the users, offered a simple solution to their parenting problems, and had valuable, useful information.
